Eastwood delivers yet again with Invictus, trailer

Invictus is a true story that can inspire everyone from adults to children with its strong message of how leadership can help change the world.

Clint Eastwood directed the film that retells how President of South Africa Nelson Mandela and famous rugby star Francois Pienaar united to help bring the country together after the 1995 World Cup win.

Matt Damon takes on the role of Pienaar and Morgan Freeman tackles the role of Nelson Mandela. Its hardly worth mentioning their performances as when are they ever not first class

The story begins with Mandela becoming the president of a divided South Africa after spending 27 years behind bars for fighting the apartheid.

As Mandela takes on the South Africa presidency he is faced by the racial lines that still exist with the black majority angry after years of oppression, and the white minority fearful after finding themselves powerless for the first time in Africa’s history.

In order to combat the problems, Mandela decides to do something that is a symbol of forgiveness and reconciliation that is not related to race, government, or politics.

In order to do this Mandela turns to the rugby field during the World Cup finals which South Africa was hosting for the year.

Mandela then asks Pienaar to lead the team to victory.  The rest of the story remains to be seen in theatres so as not to ruin it, but this inspirational movie is one that you will not want to miss during the holiday season.
